Top-performer, Sandra, who achieved an outstanding grade 8 in her GCSE English, says, “I am so overwhelmed with my results! After being diagnosed with autism three years ago, my confidence was at rock bottom. It was my amazing tutor, Michaela who empowered and supported me in every way – her unique teaching style gave me the confidence I needed to believe in myself and achieve the outstanding grades that I have. ”

38-year-old mum of three, Emma, is over the moon with her results and says, “I have worked so hard and I couldn’t have done it without the support from my tutors at St Helens College.”

She adds, “I am currently studying a Health and Social Care degree at The Open University, which required me to have both my English and maths GCSEs, and is the reason why I decided to come back and study. I am looking forward to using my new qualifications to help me achieve my dream career as a Teacher. Studying alongside my part-time clerical role, and raising my three children has been a challenge, but so worth it!”

19-year-old Kian, who is currently in his final year of the level 3 Extended Diploma in Public and Uniformed Services at St Helens College, says, “I am so proud of my grade 4 in GCSE English. My ambition is to potentially join the Intelligence Corps within the British Army, and this qualification alongside my course at College will help me to achieve this.”
