Music Service Concert

The concerts will feature Primary School Choirs from St Helens, professional and upcoming soloists all accompanied by St.Helens Youth Orchestra and their professional music mentors.

Performances of the oratorio will take place on Thursday 18 and Friday 19 May at 6:30pm to 8pm held at St Helens Town Hall.

Written to mark the 50th Anniversary of WWF-UK, One Sun One World tells the story of our astonishing world, in all its rich diversity, through the eyes of several characters, including the Old Oak Tree who narrates the story. As the musical unfolds, the characters become more concerned by the impact that our modern lives are having upon the planet, its habitats and its
resources. The children of the world wonder how we can sustain and help to protect this wonderful life we all know.

The massed choir will feature members of St.Helens Vocal Youth and up to three primary school choirs per night. On Thursday 18 May, the primary school choirs performing will be from Sutton Manor and St Mary’s, Blackbrook. On Friday 19 May, the primary school choirs performing will be from Sherdley, St Peter’s and Sutton Oak.

Tickets, priced at £6 for adults and £3.50 for under 16s, are available to be reserved and purchased via the Music Service office on 01744 677946 or on the door each night.
