It’s the Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards tonight and we wish all the best to Theatre Royal and Darkstar Laser.
The Theatre Royal and Darkstar Laser are shortlisted in the Entertainment Venue of the Year and Independent Tourism Business of the Year categories, respectively. In addition the Theatre Royal is also shortlisted in the People’s Chocie category.
Each year, the Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards judging panel sifts through hundreds of applications to narrow down the very best in the business. Chris Brown, Director at Marketing Liverpool, said: “This year there was an unbelievable number of high quality entries, including a lot of new names, from across the region’s tourism sector. 2016 was a fantastic year for tourism in the region which made choosing a select handful of businesses for our shortlist even harder.
“We look forward to the event tonight when we will be celebrating the region’s cream of the crop and reflecting on a truly remarkable last twelve months.“
Lynn Ben Yousef from Darkstar said “’This is such a fantastic achievement to be able to not only compete, but be shortlisted ahead of some to the amazing attractions in Liverpool. It is the perfect timing to shine a light on the towns tourism attractions and all of our achievements and assets at the heart of the town.”
Chantelle Nolan from the Theatre Royal said “We are absolutely thrilled to once again be shortlisted at this year’s Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards for Best Entertainment Venue. I think it is a testament to all the hard work our dedicated team put in to making the Theatre Royal a first class venue for our audiences.”
