The Hemby Trust is a charitable trust established in 1998 specifically to give cash grants to charitable organisations in Merseyside and Wirral.
The Trust works particularly to provide help for charitable projects in the fields of social need, youth and employment, help for older people, the arts and the environment.
The Trustees may offer a grant on condition that the charity also raises a matching amount through its own efforts, i.e. not from other trusts or statutory bodies but through activities such as car bot sales, sponsored events etc.
Applications must be for projects in Merseyside and Wirral and priority is given to projects benefitting the greatest number of residents in that area. Applicants should ideally be a registered charity or applying to become one. However any properly constituted body with charitable objectives can apply.
Applicants are requested to complete an Evaluation Form to be returned to the Administrator either when the project is finished or not more than 6 months after the payment of the grant.
The closing date for applications is 12pm on 1st June 2017. To find out more visit the website http://hembytrust.org.uk/index.php/how-to-apply
