A family-run repair garage in Haydock is seeking to increase turnover past £5m in the next five years, supported by Barclays.
Eye Commercials, was established by Bill Flanagan in July 2014. He said the business started with a tool box and one very large warehouse and has since grown to employ 26 staff and achieve a turnover of £1.5m this year.
The business has also said it has secured contracts with major retailers such as Tesco and Asda.
Flanagan said: “However, such a period of growth has been incredibly difficult to manage and would not have been possible without the support and expert advice from our Barclays relationship team, Lee Hunt and Danni Roberts.”
“With the banks’ support, we have grown in confidence and we intend to increase our turnover past £5m in the next five years and see Barclays as an integral part of the team to help us realise this ambition.”
Flanagan, who is a qualified mechanical and electrical engineer, started working on planes with the RAF. Throughout his career, he has worked on numerous design projects, inventing and creating systems for vehicles; from fuel saving systems and loading bay reverse warning, to bluetooth wheel nut devices and voice activated alarms on buses.
Lee Hunt, business manager for Barclays added: “Eye Commercials is a fantastic company to work with and I have enjoyed building a strong partnership with the management team over the last few years.
“Bill’s experience coupled with the energy and passion of all the staff has quickly established the brand in a short space of time and we look forward to seeing the business grow over the months and years ahead.”
