St Helens Town are delighted to welcome on board Simon Kenyon who joins the club this week as their new Business Development and Commercial Manager.
On the eve of a return to St Helens, at the soon to be completed Ruskin Drive Sports Ground development, Town have been looking to recruit someone to lead on the club’s commercial activity as well as contribute towards its long term development plans.
Simon, who hails from Hesketh Bank, arrives with significant experience of Sport Business Management and has held roles at a number of clubs over the last thirteen years and he is the current Chairman of Burscough Dynamo FC.
Town Chairman John McKiernan said, ‘I am delighted to welcome Simon to the club and look forward to working closely with him. He brings with him a wealth of experience at developing partnerships with the business community and increasing the range of income streams along with extensive experience of bid writing, project and events management.
‘Simon has just completed a Sports Business Management degree and also holds a Higher Education Diploma in Sports Development which combined with his experience with other grassroots football clubs will hopefully prove successful for Town.’
Mr McKiernan added, ‘He joins the club at a really exciting time and understands the importance that sponsorship plays in providing opportunities for all our teams.
Simon said, “I would to thank St Helens Town AFC for offering me this opportunity to work with them at this important time in their history. It’s a new and exciting challenge for me and one that I am looking forward too. I will be going out into the community and speaking to businesses about our sponsorship packages and will look to create long term commercial relationships.”
All the club’s sponsorship packages are available via the club website and Simon will be happy to answer any questions via email, telephone or in person. He can be contacted on the details below:
