SATURDAY 12TH AUGUST

SUMMER STREETS
St Helens is also set to stage its annual Summer Streets – an occasion of outdoor performances set against a carnival atmosphere on Saturday 12th August. Expect a line-up of top artists and attractions from the world of comedy, music, acrobatics, dance, magic and theatre. All the action will take place on the streets in the town centre and all the performances are free! 11Am rto 4pm.

ST HELENS OPEN ART EXHIBITION
Returning to The World Of Glass for the sixth year since 2012, this year’s exhibition is set to be bigger and better than ever. The Open Art competition aims to encourage and support local artists of all abilities, as well as promoting excellence, talent and creativity within the borough. The end result and is a showcase of artworks of all mediums from fine art, photography, video, sculpture and much more! This exhibition is not to be missed.

SONGS FROM THE MUSICALS
Join Nathan Blackburn + Friends for an evening of music and entertainment. Hosted by the hilarious Jamie Sinnott-Davies. Hear your favourite songs from the shows including numbers from Les Miserables, The Phantom of the Opera, Wicked, The Lion King, Mamma Mia and many, many more. SUMMER BEACH
Complete with a large beach area for youngsters to tackle with their buckets and spades – and a fantastic children’s funfair – Summer Beach will run from Saturday 22 July until Saturday 2 September in Church Square, 10:00am – 4:00pm.

80’S NIGHT AT HONEYROSE FOUNDATION
The event will involve:
– An 80’s Themed Musical Guest
– Bingo
– A Raffle
– Karaoke
Throughout the duration of the night, there will be available access to the bar, and to snacks.

Willowbrook Hospice will be opening its award winning gardens to the public as part of the National Gardens Scheme’s (NGS) 90th birthday celebrations. 11am-4pm. £3 for adults and free for children with profits going towards the NGS fund for nursing and caring charities.

COMMUNITY ROUNDERS.
Do you remember playing Rounders at school? Come and re-live your youth with these FREE community Rounders sessions. They take place from 2pm – 3.30pm every Sunday until the beginning of September. No experience necessary. Men, women, boys and girls are all welcome to join in. No equipment is necessary and just suitable clothing to be worn. under 10s must be accompanied by an adult.Location: Ruskin Drive Sports Ground, St Helens, WA10 6RP.
