Runners were impressed with this first event

Drew Perkins said “As a first event Run Rainhill was so well organised and so well marshalled. There are many long standing well established events that are not as well organised as today’s event was! Massive well done. Great route, great spectator support ……horrible last hill! Thanks for a great morning”

Les Arnold said “My grandson and his dad took part in the Rainhill run today and I must congratulate the organisers and marshals for making the event such a success,I was a spectator and thoroughly enjoyed watching the effort all the runners put in. I sincerely hope this event is only the beginning as I thought it brought the community of Rainhill together with spectators applauding the runners across the course and hundreds of runners taking part, hopefully it will continue to grow in the coming years and become an integral part of Rainhill life.”

Nicola Daley said “Widnes Wasps had a great at time at the 10k today … fantastic race and brilliantly organised … we often run up Hall Lane on club nights but today we learned to love it .. thanks and see you next year”
