Free Senior Road Safety Event

A popular free road safety event which has engaged with hundreds of senior
road users since its establishment two years ago will return to the borough
on Wednesday 27th September.

St Helens Council’s Senior Road Users events are some of the many awareness
events being held all over Merseyside in an attempt to reduce the rising
number of casualties resulting from road traffic collisions on Merseyside
involving those aged 60 and over.

The latest event will take place at the Crownway Community Centre, Crown
Street, Newton-le-Willows, on Wednesday 27 September from 10am to 2pm,
where attendees can enjoy a number of presentations on various topics such
as winter driving, driving safer for longer – and general advice for the
mature road user.

Refreshments and hotpot will be served to attendees who are asked to
reserve their place by calling Elaine Cross on 01744 673237 or by email:
elainecross@sthelens.gov.uk by no later than midday Monday 25 September.
