Level 3 Catering students from St Helens College had an exciting trip to The Pig Hotel in Brockenhurst, New Forest.
They spent time with Head Chef, James Golding, and were given the exclusive opportunity to sample the menus and tour the beautiful hotel (which used to belong to The Queen Mother!).
A highlight was exploring the kitchens, gardens, home-grown produce, preserves larder and smokehouse. They even met the resident pigs, quails and hens.
The trip has helped the students to prepare for next week’s Guest Chef Dinner with James in Colours Restaurant.
