Monday 13th November

The Queens Park Local History Group will be meeting at 7.15pm at Greenalls Sports and Social Club on Alder Hey Road, WA10 4DN. Rosemary Tyler will be talking about ‘The Suffragette Movement’.

The Rainhill Railway & Heritage Society meet at the Village Hall in Dane Court, L35 4LU, 7 for 7.30. AGM for members only.

Tuesday 14th

Rainhill Remembered meeting. Millennium Rooms View Road from 2-4 pm. Do drop in , you will be assured of a warm welcome! Always 2nd Tuesday in the month except August

Locomotive Club of Great Britain – North West Branch.

St. Helens Townships Family History Society present ‘Liverpool Cowkeepers – A family history with David Joy. Monthly meetings are held at the United Reform Church at 6.45 for 7pm. Non-members are very welcome to attend.

Monday 20th

The St Helens Historical Society meet at the Friends Meeting House, Church Street, WA10 1AJ. 7.30pm. Joanne Chamberlain’s subject is ‘Mrs Goodison’s Bequest’

Wednesday 22nd

Saints Community Development Foundation host the first of their Heritage Group events at the Totally Wicked Stadium at 7pm. More info here

Tuesday 28th

Rainhill civic Society. “The Road to Passchendaele: the 1/5th South Lancashires, 55th Division and the Third Battle of Ypres”. Ste. Lingard has a master’s degree in British First World War Studies. Two of his forebears served with the Battalion and died in the ‘Great War’. St Ann’s Centre, View Road. 7.30pm. There is no charge and meetings are open to all, members and non-members. Free parking and level access.

Wednesday 29th

Newton-Le-Willows local history group. Last Wednesday of the month. 5pm. To 7pm. (except December). Newton Library
