Keepers at Knowsley Safari in Merseyside enjoying a wild Hallowe’en, creating spooktacular animal enrichment activities for the curious meerkats, crash of rhinos and red river hogs.
A Knowsley Safari spokesperson said: “The meerkats spent time exploring and clambering over and inside their pumpkins. Whilst the rhino really enjoyed throwing their weight around and picking up the pumpkins with their horns, the red river hog decided the pumpkin was best eaten as a tasty afternoon treat.”
Expect the unexpected on a trip to Knowsley Safari. With a safari space covering 550-acres, visitors will enjoy a wild, family adventure, going face-to-face with over 750 animals including rhino, lions, tigers and cheeky baboons.
