University Centre St Helens Fine Art Painting Lecturer is set to showcase his talents at a one-man exhibition at the University of Chester.
Artist Wayne Robinson, will present 34 of his paintings, exploring how objects placed on the periphery of the picture plane communicate and relate to the interior image. The pieces are autobiographical and incorporate newly rediscovered objects from his past, including old toys and photographs of himself and his family. His work engages with personal history and memory.
Wayne has spent the last three years studying part-time on his PhD. This exhibition accompanies his recently published paper titled ‘The Paintings Edge’ which he presented at The CA2RE Conference in Ghent, Belgium last Easter.
The exhibition runs from the 6th November 2017 – 14th December 2017, Monday to Friday 10.00am – 4.00pm, held in the Foyer Gallery at the University of Chester Kingsway Campus.
