Vlogger Chloe Shortlisted For National Competition – Vote Now

At the age of just fourteen, Chloe Corke from St Helens College’s 14-16 Academy has been shortlisted for the final of United Utilities national advertising competition on Youtube.

Inspired by her course tutor and her love for English, Chloe entered the vlogging competition to help raise awareness of the impact of flushing wipes down the toilet and why it should be avoided.

The brief for the Vlogstars competition was to create a two minute video blog. It needed to appeal to young people and spread the word that wipes shouldn’t be flushed in a bid to help reduce blockages and sewer flooding to homes, gardens, rivers and beaches.

Competing against other schools from around the country, Chloe was delighted to hear that she had been shortlisted saying, “My family are really proud of me. This is just one of several opportunities that I have been given while studying at St Helens College 14 – 16 Academy.”

Chloe’s tutor Kirk added, “This is a great opportunity for students to work with a large organisation, tackle real issues, build confidence and gain experience for their future.”

The winner will receive a £1,000 donation for their school, £250 PC World vouchers for themselves and become one of United Utilities youth ambassadors.

Chloe now needs to gain votes from the public on her Youtube video to help her win the competition. To support Chloe, watch the video below and like it to cast your vote.
