Grants Of Up To £1,000 For Local Projects That Bring People Together

Grants of up to £1,000 are available for local projects that bring together people within communities from different backgrounds, of different ages and with different outlooks, to increase mutual understanding and to help people work together to improve their community.

The Community Impact Fund, managed by Liverpool Charity and Voluntary Services (LCVS) was inspired by the Great Get-Together, organised earlier this year by the family of the late MP Jo Cox. They have decided to extend the programme on a rolling basis to allow more organisations to participate.

As Jo’s family and friends explained: “A get-together is any gathering of neighbours, friends and those in our communities to celebrate what we have in common. We hope it provides a reason to reach out to those you might not otherwise meet, and by building new relationships, create stronger communities.”

The LCVS want to fund projects that bring together people within communities from different backgrounds, of different ages and with different outlooks, to increase mutual understanding and to help people work together to improve their community. They will support either one-off events, or a series of events. The maximum amount an organisation can apply for is £1,000.

They will be reviewing applications and making awards on a month by month basis until further notice, so please, if you have plans for an event that fits the criteria, send them your applications!

The next scheduled review date for applications is Monday 11 December 2017.
