Local woman Nicolle Stanley has raised over £800 for Willowbrook Hospice by holding a fabulous family fun day in memory of her nan, Doreen Taylor.
Doreen 81, from Thatto Heath was cared for at the Prescot based hospice before losing her brave battle against breast cancer and lymphoma.
Nicolle said: “The staff and volunteers at the hospice were wonderful with my nan. They always made time to chat to her and nothing was too much trouble. Organising the fun day was my way of giving back to Willowbrook for all they did for my nan and the rest of our family. The day really went well. It was great to see so many people enjoying themselves and I was thrilled that we managed to raise so money for the hospice.”
Nichola Saunders, Head of Fundraising at Willowbrook said: “We are so grateful to Nicolle for organising such a wonderful event and raising such an amazing amount for the hospice so that we can continue to care and support our patients and their families.”
