Knowsley Safari Hosts The Big Learner Relay Finale

The finale of the Big Learner Relay was a roaring success as over 70 decorated cars turned out for the last lap through Knowsley Safari.

Having travelled more than 3,000 miles in 14 days, from its starting point in Northern Ireland, the convoy made its final journey through Knowsley’s five-mile safari drive, passing the resident lions, tigers, rhino, camel and baboons.

Event founder, Louise Walsh, was presented with a special award recognising outstanding volunteers – the Point of Light award.

This award is from the Prime Minister and was presented yesterday to Louise by Amy Cullen from The Big Learner Relay, in honour of the inspiration and change that Louise has brought about.
