Willowbrook Hospice’s Light Up A Life Appeal

Remember your loved ones this Christmas

Although Christmas is a time for celebration, for many people it can be a time for reflection and to think about the family and friends who are no longer with them.

Willowbrook Hospice’s Light Up A Life appeal gives people an opportunity to commemorate the lives of their loved ones by making a donation in their honour.

Everyone who makes a donation to the appeal receives a personalised Light Up a Life card and a token for a Light Up A Life badge which can be redeemed at the hospice, The Living Well building on Borough Road, St Helens or at any of the Willowbrook charity shops.

The names of their loved ones will also be recorded in the Book of Honour which can be viewed at the Lights of Love ceremonies in December and at the hospice and The Living Well building from Monday 18 December until Friday 5 January.

Light Up A Life organiser, Diane Humphreys said: “Christmas is a chance to spend time with loved ones. Sometimes our loved ones are many miles away, or perhaps no longer with us, but one of the most important things we can do for them is to remember. At Willowbrook Hospice we help people honour the memory of their loved ones through our Light Up A Life appeal. Every dedication and donation helps Willowbrook Hospice raise the £4.5 million needed to ensure that we can continue to keep caring for local people and their families.”

The Light Up A Life church services include carols, readings and the lighting of the Light Up A Life tree and are:

11th December at Prescot Parish Church

12th December at Church of the Holy Spirit in Dovecot

13th December at St Mary’s Lowe House in St Helens

All services start at 7pm.
