Xmas Tree Festival – 1st to 15th December at St Helens Parish Church in Town Centre.

Christmas Tree Festival at All Saints Parish Church, Rainford.
Friday 1st December 11am to 6pm.
Saturday 2nd December 10am to 6pm.
Sunday 3rd December 12,30pm to 3.30pm
Entrance is £4 which includes light refreshments. Children £1, under 5’s go FREE.

Friday 1st December

Coca-Cola Christmas truck. Tesco Extra in St Helens from 11am to 7pm.

The Magic of Christmas Carol Concert. Rainford Ladies Choir, Rainford C of E Choir and others. All Saints Parish Church, Rainford. 7.30pm. £6 which includes light refreshments.

Saturday 2nd December

Star Wars fans will have the chance to meet their favourite characters when they land in Church Square from a galaxy far, far away. 11am to 3pm.

Xmas Market in aid of WillowBook Hospice. 11Am to 4pm. Living Well Centre, Borough Road. Grotto, homemade gift stalls, donkeys, entertainment, food court, children’s activities, Santa Postbox. Free entry (Grotto £5)

Xmas time with Kiera Weathers. Honeyrose Foundation, Wishes Function Room, St Helens Town Centre. Join them as they celebrate another year in style. Hot Buffet included and a chance to get some amazing pictures.Just £25 per ticket and children are welcome.

Christmas Fair at Newton Community Centre. Midday to 4pm.

Rainford Xmas Fayre. There will be charity and commercial stalls, food, mulled wine, entertainment and fair rides. All net proceeds go to local organisations. Put the date in your diary now! 11Am to 3pm at Church Road, Rainford. Outdoors if weather permitting. If not, in the vilalge hall.

Xmas Fayre. Boathouse Tearooms, Carr Mill Dam. 1Pm. craft and gift stalls, Carols , climbing wall adventure experience ( weather permitting ), Photography shoots, mince pies mulled wine , Christmas afternoon teas . Raffle with proceeds split equally between The Lilac Centre and Disabled Water Ski School. Cafe and bar open in our stunning location.

Haydock Women’s Club are holding a Tombola in aid of Target Ovarian Cancer at Woodside Heath Centre, Haydock WA11 0NA – all day.

Thursday 7th December

Xmas Fayre at Parish Primary School. 5.30pm to 7pm. Grotto, handmade xmas gifts, class xmas creations, xmas novelties, candles, glasses and gifts, cakes and biscuits, carols, tombola, raffle.

Penkford School Book Fair and art exhibition. 3Pm to 5pm. Wharf Road, Newton Le Willows.

Rainford High Xmas Fayre. 5Pm to 8pm. With a massive selection of stalls offering gifts, crafts and much more they also have a Christmas food court so no need to eat before you come.
Not forgetting special guest FATHER CHRISTMAS who will be in our grotto all evening.

Friday 8th December

Du music presents : an evening of music with Amy fullagar and Emily Nevitt at Haresfinch sports and social club 6.30pm. The bar will be open and tickets include hot pot supper £4 per adult and £2.50 for kids…they will also be having a raffle…… money raised will be going to cancer research and Jenny moss go fund me page to raise money for a lady with terminal cancer to have a family holiday

Carols in Victoria Park

The annual Community Carol concert takes place on Friday 8th December.

Meet at the Rutland St lodge at 6.15pm for Carols around the Xmas tree accompanied by the fabulous Ukes 3A players.

At 6.30pm walk through the park by torchlight singing as you go to the beautiful Orangery for more Carols with the Ukes 3A players.

At 7.15pm they will be awarding the prizes for the annual story writing competition and hearing the winning entries being read out. They may also have a visit from a well loved red suited gentleman… as long as you have all been nice and not naughty.

Sleighs will leave around 8pm

Bring your lanterns and your coats… if the weather is poor meet in The Orangery.

Saturday 9th December

Phoenix Apparel’s Christmas Arts and Crafts Fair returns to St Helens Town Hall by popular demand. With a host of beautiful Christmas gifts, crafts, food & drink & of course Father Christmas himself! Entry £1. Children go FREE

Brass Explosion at St Helens Town Hall. 7.30pm to 10pm. St Helens Youth Brass Band’s annual ‘Brass Explosion’ Christmas Concert held at the St Helens Town Hall; a showcase of talent and festive Christmas music by all three bands. £6 adults. £4 concessions.

Saturday 16th December

Friends of St.Helens Cemetery are holding their annual popular event at the Crematorium Chapel at 11am. The service will be led by Reverend Phillip Collard and the  Citadel Choir will be in attendance. Write  out your Christmas message for your loved one and  then hang it on our beautiful Christmas Tree. Refreshments will be provided.  Free event. All welcome, no need to book just turn up on the day.

Santa will visit Church Square with his reindeer to hear any last minute Christmas wishes –while Elvis the Elf will be telling stories from within a giant snow globe. Midday to 4pm.

Nativity Walk – Moss Bank/Clinkham Woods. Starting from St David’s church about 12.15 and St Pats church at 12.30, finishing at Moss Bank Mission for hot drinks and mince pies. There is a band and several stops to sing carols on the way – everyone is welcome and it’s free.

Monday 18th December

Carols By Candlelight at Hope Academy. 7pm. All welcome .

Community Carol Service. The Salvation Army and Hope Centre invite you to celebrate with them at St Helens Parish Church, Church Square. 11am to midday. refreshments afterwards.

Carols by candlelight. St Helens Baptist Church, Hall Street. 5pm to 6.30pm. Join us on Christmas Eve for our annual Carols by Candlelight. An evening of your favourit carols, readings and seasonal reflections. Then stay after for mince pies, hot chocolate & mulled wine. All welcome.

 

Santa’s Grotto at Victoria Park

Step into Santa’s sitting room where he will check to see if you are on his nice or naughty list.
Tickets are priced at just £4.00 and will include a gift for every child, refreshments will also be provided.

They will be taking bookings for the following dates
Saturday 2nd December 10.30am to 4.30pm
Sunday 3rd December 1.30pm to 4pm.
Saturday 9th December 10.30am to 4.30pm
Sunday 10th December 1.30pm to 4pm.

They will also be holding an Autism friendly session so they can make this event as inclusive as possible.

Santa’s Grotto at Honeyrose Foundation

For a whole week this year, Santa will be at the Honeyrose Foundation. Between the 7th December and the 14th December Santa and his Elves will be in St Helens doing last-minute checks and giving away some seriously cool gifts. To book a slot with Santa, call 01744 451919. Or simply show up between the following times: Weekdays – 2pm – 5pm. Weekends – 12pm – 4pm. All children will receive a gift and a photo from Santa and prices start from just £10 per child. Wishes Function Room is located at the Honeyrose shop in St Helens Town Centre.

Santas Grotto at Knowsley Safari

Santa will be opening the doors to his Grotto every weekend from now until Christmas and every Wednesday to Sunday from 13th December. Visitors can expect plenty of festive food and drinks to sample, as well as craft workshops to help  fill  those Christmas stockings. Enjoy winter at Knowsley Safari for less at just £15 per car and free entry to the foot safari until January. Knowsley Safari is closed on Monday and Tuesday throughout the winter season with the amusement rides opening on 25th-26th November and weekends only until Christmas.
