Last weekend saw the return of the best Junior and Senior judoka to Sheffield for the 2017 British Championships. 22 year-old Lucy Renshall (U63kg) and 26 year-old Owen Livesey (U81kg), both came away with Gold medals from the event.
Lucy said “I am really happy ending the year as British Champion it is always a good feeling and it was really good preparation for me fighting next weekend in the World Masters which will be my biggest event I’ve done as of yet!”
Owen said “Very happy with the Gold. Worked hard this year, first year back after a break from the sport so TO finish up as British Champion is great and a good way to go into the new year and the next Olympic Qualification Block which starts in May”
Lucy celebrated her 22nd Birthday on the 11th December, Happy Birthday!!
