St Julie’s Reunion Raises £1570 For Hospice

Friends and family of parishioners from St Julie’s Church Eccleston recently showed their generosity by raising more than £1550 for Willowbrook Hospice in one memorable night!

Organised by John and Angela Potter and friends Caroline Harvey, Kath and John Traverse and Julie Andrew, the evening brought together over 110 people, many of whom have supported the parish throughout the years.

Angela who volunteers with the hospice’s Fundraising Team said: “We knew it was going to be a popular night but we were absolutely staggered by the support we received from the local community. We expected to make about £1000 but were overwhelmed by the amount we managed to raise for Willowbrook. The hospice is such a worthwhile cause and very close to the hearts of many local people. Everyone had a great evening and ended up dancing the night away.”

Nichola Saunders, Head of Fundraising at Willowbrook said: “On behalf of the hospice, I would like to thank everyone who helped organise the event and all those who came along on the evening and donated so generously. Every penny raised will go towards helping us to continue to care and support our patients and their families.”
