Interested In Studying Drama And Theatre At Carmel College?

The final open evening event at Carmel college takes place on Tuesday 6th February from 6pm to 8.30pm

You will have an opportunity to find out about the superb courses on offer. Of particular interest may be the A-Level Drama and Theatre course. Carmel excels in this area. It is a vibrant and creative department with high expectations, acceptance, kindness and aspirations at the heart of it.

It offers a range of brilliant workshops and extra curricular classes such as visits from prestigious Drama schools like Mountview, Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and RADA to name a few. These are the ‘Oxford and Cambridge’ of the Drama industry.

Students are involved in the National Theatre Connections Festival and have a variety of shows, plays and performances as an additional opportunity.

Student progress, learning, development, growth and happiness is at the heart of the Drama and Theatre department as all students are encouraged and supported in doing their best while emerging into capable young adults.

The department is deemed ‘Outstanding’, and this is based on a number of things including progress (Added Value), results, student experience, student feedback, quality of teaching and learning, management of the department etc.

One thing that is worth mentioning is that you needn’t have obtained a GCSE in drama studies an an entry qualification for the A Level course.
