Striders competed in the 4th race of the North West Cross Country League on Sunday 14th January.
The race, hosted by Runcorn Town Park, and known for incorporating the infamous ski slope as part of the course (twice!), saw athletes plough through calf deep, icy water from the off.
This was much to the surprise of Striders Ann Johnson, Rick Rowe and Daniel Cheetham who, unknowingly chose this brutal course to make their XC debut!
Kelly Hamilton was the first female Strider to finish the race, finishing 3rd lady whilst Jon-Jo Doherty reclaimed his title of first male Strider to finish, coming in 13th position.
Tatton Park held its first 10k race of the Run Through Tatton Park Series. Rebecca McKenna represented Striders and finished the race in 55 minutes and 44 seconds. Rebecca was joined by Tony and Louise Padmore.
