The Great British Spring Clean is a campaign with a simple aim: to bring people across the country together to clear up the litter that blights our towns, villages, countryside and beaches.
From the 2nd to 4th March 2018, Keep Britain Tidy want to inspire half a million people across the UK to get outdoors, get active and help clear up the rubbish that lies around us.
As part of the campaign, a number of events are taking place across the Borough, as follows.
Chain Lane Park. Saturday 3rd March. 11am to 2pm – THIS WILL BE RESCHEDULED TO A LATER DATE
The Remix Volunteering group are organising a clean up of Chain Lane park as it is becoming unsightly with litter, the park is well used by families, young people and dog walkers. We want to make the park a more pleasant place to visit, bring people together, reduce litter and help our wildlife. Come along and give us a hand, find out what’s on at Chain Lane Community Centre, explore more volunteering opportunities with Remix Volunteering/UC Crew and meet members of the 26th Blackbrook Scouts.
