6 year-old Jude Riordan, who lives with his mum Kellie, dad Paul and big brother Zach, in Sutton Heath, will be appearing on CBBC later this month in “Katy: Take Nothing For Granted”
‘Katy: Take Nothing For Granted’ is a three episode series adapted from Dame Jacquline Wilson’s novel, Katy. The series features a lively, strong-willed and impulsive heroine struggling to adjust to life in a new blended family. In episode one, daredevil Katy keeps getting into trouble, but an accident caused while she is playing outside one day after being grounded leaves her in hospital with a spinal injury – and changes her life forever. Jude plays Katy’s Step-Brother Little Phil.
His Mum Kellie, said “Jude took part in the “Secret Life of 5 Year Olds”, which aired in February of last year, and things kind of kicked off from his popularity on that.”
The LIPA and St John Vianney pupil, who’ll be 7 in May, was one of several children chosen to take part in the show, which was Jude’s TV debut.
Kellie added, “His dad, brother and I are all so very proud of him, as are his school, family and friends.”
“He’s such a character so he’s finding all this so much fun. He picked up his lines very quickly and was popular on set with the cast and crew.”
“It’s all up to Jude on what he wants to do, it’s just a hobby but if he continues to love it and do well then we’ll support him”
“He’s also featured in another exciting project out soon but not yet released”
Katy: Take Nothing For Granted will being airing on Tueday 13th March at 5pm.
