St Helens Scouts To Represent Merseyside At Regional Competition

Last weekend Scouts from across Merseyside took part in the Lord Derby 999 competition at the Tawd Vale Scout Camp in Ormskirk. The event is held to test the skills of the Scouts.

Teams of six take part, which comprise of a patrol leader, assistant patrol leader and four other scouts. Each team has to complete a series of bases which are designed to test their scouting skills. Each base lasts twenty minutes and they are marked on three elements completing the task, teamwork and scouting skill/knowledge.

26th Blackbrook Scouts were overall winners and will go on to the regional event to represent Merseyside on 9th June Waddecar Scout Camp in Preston.
