Consiston 14 was completed by Elizabeth Philipson, Darren Eccles and Neil Hunter on Saturday. The annual event circles Coniston river and provides stunning views of the surrounding mountains.
Sunday was a busy Strider day with team members all across. 9 striders took part in Liverpool Vitality half marathon; one Strider in particular was Colin Wilson who bagged himself a new PB and crossed the line in 1:51:28. Also held at the same location was the 10 miler option. A special mention to Tony Dagnall who won the Vet 60 category for this race in a speedy time of 1:17:49.
Another very hilly half marathon took place in Darwen we’re two Striders tackled the hills. Scott Robertson finished the race in a sub 90 minute time of 1:28:46 and Ian Wright scores a new PB in an excellent time of 1:35:05.
The Northern Championships relays were held in Birkenhead on Sunday and despite all the racing still had a great team turnout from both the male and female teams. The female team placed 2nd in Merseyside and overall the highest they have ever placed, holding a top 25 position and came 22nd in the North category. Well done to all.
