Chain Lane Park Clean-Up Success

Many bags of rubbish were filled at Chain Lane Park in Blackbrook as UC Crew, Remix Volunteering and St Helens 6th Scouts supported the ‘Great British Spring Clean’. The clean-up event took place on the 24th March and involved cleaning up the park and removing twenty five bags of litter among other larger items.

Tom Glynn, organiser, said “Our event received support from St Helens Council and Chain Lane Community Centre, as well as funding from the #Iwill fund and the Community Foundation of Merseyside, to get more young people involved in community action projects”

“It was positive event and one that residents, dog walkers and youth groups, were all happy to take part in, every piece of litter picked up is a positive step towards a cleaner and safer environment for children, dogs and wildlife”
