‘Striders Break New Boundaries’

The St Helens Striders were out in force at this weeks Knowsley Parkrun, (Stadt Moers). In unprecedented numbers, and with a swell of support from family and friends, volunteer members- marshalled, kept time, paced and partook in the event. It is hoped that this fantastic free weekly event will go from strength to strength.

Elsewhere, in the Mid Cheshire 5k: Peter Fairclough romped home with a time of 16.46; followed by Mark Riley making great impressions with a new PB of 18.09; Kelly Hamilton then led home the ladies at lightning pace 19.05, Kylie Maguire 21.37, Sian Maguire 24.49, Kerry Riley 25.47.

In the Chester Half Marathon: Hannah Whittaker wove her magic as she delighted crowds with a new PB 1.35.09. She’s now cemented her place as one of the Striders fastest ladies!
