Willowbrook Hospice is collaborating with hospices in the north of England to support a campaign aimed to encourage men to visit their local hospice charity shop and donate their good quality unwanted clothes.
Following the success of the Pendleside hospice’s ‘Drop Your Pants’ campaign, which ran for the first time last June, Willowbrook Hospice and six other hospices have now joined forces to run the initiative.
Other hospices to take on the campaign are: East Lancashire Hospice in Blackburn, St Mary’s Hospice in Ulverston, Eden Valley Hospice in Carlisle, Dr Kershaw’s Hospice in Oldham and Woodlands Hospice in Liverpool.
Carol Pilkington, Trading Company Manager for Willowbrook Hospice said: “We are delighted to be taking part in this year’s Drop Your Pants campaign. The majority of people who come into our stores to shop and donate clothes are female. We hope that the campaign will help raise awareness of the need for items of men’s clothes and also to encourage men of all ages to come along and shop in our charity shops -we really do have something for everybody!”
