The Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) has launched a new funding round. EEF targets funding at high-potential projects that are cost effective, have a measurable impact on attainment and can be scaled up to improve outcomes for disadvantaged children and young people aged 3 – 18 in schools and education settings across England.
This Round seeks applications from proposals that cover:
- Improving teaching in secondary schools, in particular those aiming to improve pedagogy in Key Stage 3 or English and Maths teaching
- Evidencing the impact of popular programmes i.e. those programmes widely used by schools with the aim of changing or improving practice in certain areas
- Improving Level 2 outcomes for 16-18-year olds in English and maths
- Proposals from researchers about how best to evaluate the impact of widespread school practices for which there is currently limited evidence.
Any organisation working in schools and other educational settings i.e. further education colleges, mainstream primary and secondary schools, special schools, early years settings, charities, local authorities, academy chains, universities, social enterprises and businesses can apply.
No minimum or maximum size of grant is set, however, past EEF grants have ranged from £90,000 to £1.5m. Grant requests should be commensurate with the nature and scale of the project and with the applicants organisations capacity to ensure its successful delivery.
The closing date for this round is 5pm on the 5th July 2018.
