Designed to specifically meet the needs of older people, a new purpose built development in Fingerpost, promises to increase the affordable housing choice of local people aged 55 and over.
The £13million state-of-the-art development on Atlas Street is the latest housing with care complex from housing group Torus and will provide 130 affordably rented one and two bedroomed apartments.
The new apartments will be sensitively planned and designed to create individual homes within a vibrant community where older people can live sociable, fulfilling and independent lives.
Enjoying a quiet, canal-side location in extensively landscaped gardens, the scheme will offer residents the very latest facilities, including a hair salon and bistro.

The Atlas Street complex is the latest addition to Torus’ growing portfolio of homes designed to support independent living at every stage of life.
The group is fast establishing an unrivalled reputation in the provision of independent living with care schemes and is currently developing a similar apartment scheme in nearby Warrington.
Meanwhile, just a few miles away on Chancery Lane, Parr, a new 25 apartment block, primarily aimed at over 55s is due to be finished later this year. This is in addition to a further 12 sheltered housing schemes across Warrington, St Helens and West Lancashire that Torus owns and manages.
Completion of the Atlas Street development is expected March 2020.
