Aldi has launched halloumi fries – and they sound ludicrously tasty.
The supermarket is going to sell halloumi fries for just £1.99 a packet. Sadly, they won’t be in stores until May 18.
Aldi’s halloumi fries are covered in a lightly seasoned coating to make them extra crispy.
They will be available from Aldi’s frozen section.
Julie Ashfield, joint managing director of corporate buying at Aldi UK, said: “Halloumi is very popular right now and we are delighted to be the first supermarket to bring our customers halloumi fries, a snack we think will be a big hit this summer and which isn’t currently available from any other supermarkets.”
Aldi has said it was inspired by Nandos’, which recently added halloumi fries to its starter menu – much to the delight to pretty much everyone.
At Nando’s, theirs come with a side of chilli jam for dipping.
