The School for Social Entrepreneurs are running a new Eco Social Enterprise Start Up Programme for young people from across the North West
The School for Social Entrepreneurs has developed a practical, hands on; learning by doing six month programme for young leaders already making waves in their local communities by tackling everyday environmental challenges such as food waste, green energy, community gardening, protection of wild habitats, sustainable fashion, green tech through to upskilling their peers to understand their role in becoming greener andanimal managementor forest school skills start ups.
Anna Sexton,Learning Facilitator at the BEE You Project, said “This new course will be the catalyst for the next generations of young leaders to shine in the region tackling head on the biggest challenges we all face linked to climate change, food and fuel poverty, social inequality and news ways of working into the future.”
Who can apply?
16 –24 year olds who have tested out an idea or passion project or have started up a fledging social enterprise, running for less than three years living across Cheshire, Cumbria, Greater Manchester, Lancashire & Merseyside.
The 6 month programme combines peer to peer ‘expert’sessions, mentoring, Action Learning and practical business start up skills workshops. Through the School for Social Entrepreneurs’ award winning ethos of learning by doing and our global network of over 3,000 fellows the successful young people will be gaining valuable leadership, employability skills and network for life.
Taking part will enable the young people to build on their own faith in themselves and up skill them as leaders and professionals in their sectors and communities
