The Lloyds Bank National Business awards return and are now accepting nominations for the 17th year.
Entering a National Business Award enables businesses to share their stories; shining a spotlight on the great things they do.
David Oldfield, Group Director, Commercial Banking at Lloyds said, “We are proud to be the headline sponsors of the National Business Awards again this year, as part of our support for British enterprise. These awards celebrate the accomplishments of British businesses, the people driving them forward, and the vital role they play in supporting our communities and the wider economy.”
The National Business Awards offer categories that suit all sizes and disciplines such as the Innovation of the Year, Duke of York New Entrepreneur of the Year, through to the Lloyds Bank Mid-Market Business of the Year*; and this year the programme introduces a new category on Artificial Intelligence, sponsored by Fujitsu;
“New emerging technologies are fundamentally changing the way we work and engage with businesses. AI is at the heart of this and we are already seeing a number of new and exciting innovations stem from its use.
“The UK Government is right to be ambitious about the potential of AI and to have it at the core of the UK’s Industrial Strategy. British companies are at the head of the pack driving innovation in this space, with AI having the potential to be truly transformative, empowering businesses and enabling people to thrive in a digital world.
It’s for these reasons that we are sponsoring a new category in the National Business Awards that will recognise the British businesses at the cutting-edge of AI. We are incredibly excited to hear from businesses that are pushing these boundaries and contributing to the UK’s global leadership in this world changing technology.” – Rupal Karia, Head of Private and Public Sector, Fujitsu UK&I.
The programme also introduces a new partnership with ELITE, London Stock Exchange Group who commented, “We are proud to be supporting the prestigious National Business Awards and specifically the Scale Up Award, celebrating the best of British business. ELITE and London Stock Exchange Group as a whole are committed to championing ambitious companies and entrepreneurs, helping them scale and get the right funding” Umerah Akram, Head of ELITE UK and Licensing.
Nina Wright, Chief Commercial Officer & Transformation Director of UBM EMEA, organisers of the event said: “Following on from a successful awards ceremony in 2017, we look forward to continue recognising and celebrating flourishing companies from all shapes and sizes across the country, that are helping drive growth for Great Britain.”
