If you’re bored to tears of your daily routine and are hankering after a job with a real sense of purpose and adventure, you just might be in luck.
Because applications for the role described as the “best job in the world” are currently being accepted and members of the public are encouraged to apply.
It’s called the World Life Experience, and involves successful applicants being taken around the globe in order to develope their awareness of social and cultural diversity.
In just one year, 11 lucky employees will engage in a host of different social and environmental activies, interacting with NGOs and charities as they make their way through more than 20 countries.
Each member of the group will be asked to document their experience via social media in order to publicise the initiatives and those involved in outreach programmes on the ground.
They can expect to visit countries such as Brazil, Costa Rica, Thailand, Australia and many more.
Participants will receive a monthly remuneration (€2,500) paid by the World Life Experience, which also covers all travel expenses (accommodation, transport, food and pocket money). They will also receive a salary of €1,250 a month, and a bonus €1,250 following completion of the trip.
Those that get through to the final 11 will form part of the second World Life Experience; the first team set off earlier this year.
“This trip is incredible,” Hugo Pinon, one of the first wave of recruits, says of the experience.
“We have been to several European countries and Thailand, Vietnam and Malaysia. We will also be going to the American continent and I look forward to continuing to collaborate in the social transformation of the communities we will meet.”
Arianny Orellanes, Pinon’s colleague, describes the placement as “the best job in the world.”.
“I am traveling in a socially sustainable way. Interacting with diverse societies and cultures, with whom I work,” she says. “I have had intimate hands-on experiences and get to associate with enthusiastic people.”
Applicants for the second experience must be aged between 21 and 39, and will be required to travel from January 2019 through to November.
