Willowbrook Hospice’s Moonlight Colour walk is this Saturday, 9th June starting at 9pm from Willowbrook-The Living Well on Borough Road, St Helens.
People of all ages and abilities are invited to come along and join in the charity’s most colourful fundraiser, taking on either a 6.5k or 10k walk route with the option of being showered by rainbow coloured powder paint.
Entry for children 5 to 16 is £5 (under 5s go free) and £15 for adults. Dogs are more than welcome but must be kept on a lead and cleaned up after. All walkers will receive a T shirt, a medal and a well-earned bacon butty (or alternative) at the end of walk.
The fun starts from 7.30pm onwards with entertainment from DJ Terryokee, the dancers from Jan Williams Theatre School and a pre-walk Glowfit warm-up from Heatone Fitness. Before the walk starts there will be a special balloon release where walkers can remember and celebrate the lived of their loved ones.
Diane Swann, Senior Fundraiser at Willowbrook says: “This year we’re hoping that our walkers will fully embrace the colour splash theme by dressing up in their best and brightest! Every penny raised by our walkers will go towards the £4.5 million that it costs every year to maintain our care services to people across St Helens and Knowsley.”
