Are you a community with a bright idea for a business that could transform your local area?
The Bright Ideas Fund supports new community business ideas through the start up and planning stages with tailored business support, to the implementation stage with grants of up to £15,000.
The Bright Ideas Fund is funded by Power to Change, the independent trust supporting community businesses in England, and delivered by Locality, the national network for community organisations.
This round will open on 26th June and close on 31st July.
Grants of up to £15,000, tailored business support as well as learning events are available to give community groups the support and tools required to start setting up their community business; provide them with the early stage finance to carry out consultations with local people and the opportunity for feasibility studies; and to develop a community business idea, that the community wants and needs.
Eligible business projects will be:
- Locally rooted
- Accountable to the local community
- Trading for the benefit of the local community
- Delivering broad community benefit
