The Year 5/6 Wargrave Primary School Contact Festival organised by Saints Community Development Foundation took place recently.
Billinge St Aidan’s, Wargrave, Bleak Hill, Leigh Vale, St Bartholomews, Rainhill, Rainford Primary, Brook Lodge, Queen’s Park, Parish Church, Holy Spirit, St Mary’s and Newton Le Willows Primary all competed in the annual event.
And it was Billinge St Aidan’s who took home the Wargrave Shield after a fantastic set of results throughout the day.
Gareth Friar from SCDF said “It’s fantastic to see so many children across St. Helens enjoy the sport of rugby league and to witness the hard work and determination they have shown in the sessions that we have delivered in schools throughout the past weeks.
“I just want to say a massive well done to all teams who took part to make it a fantastic afternoon with lots of fantastic rugby shown!”
