High factor sun spray recalled from stores because it contains NO sun protection

Around 200 bottles of Factor 30 Malibu Sun Oil have been recalled over fears it won’t protect customers

High street discounter Home Bargains has withdrawn bottles of a branded sun spray from shelves over fears it contains zero SPF.

The retailer is recalling bottles of factor 30 Malibu Oil because it doesn’t provide coverage from the sun.

A notice posted in stores said that bottles of the spray were a “risk” to shoppers and advised against using them.

The retailer claims that a “limited number” of the bottles were sold after the manufacturer notified the store that they had been incorrectly bottled.

If you have a bottle, you’re advised to take it back to your local store for a full refund.

It’s worth taking it in even if you no longer have the receipt, as you may qualify for your money back at the store’s discretion.

If in doubt, you can also get in touch with Home Bargains by calling its customer services line on 0151 530 2929.

A recall notice on the Malibu Sun website says that bottles were part of batch number 18086.

It said fewer than 200 bottles were incorrectly labelled and that a number may have already been withdrawn from shops.
