The Coalfields Community Investment Programme, which provides grants to community and voluntary groups to tackle key challenges that still affect the top 30% most deprived coalfield communities in England (East & West Midlands, North East & North West of England, Yorkshire and Kent) has re-opened for applications.
Grants totaling £125,000 will be available in this funding round for projects that address the following themes:
• Skills – growing the skills of people in order to increase their opportunities;
• Employment – developing pathways to increase the number of people in work;
• Health – supporting projects that increase participation in activities/services that improve health and wellbeing.
The maximum grant per project will be £10,000.
Applicants are advised to consult the eligible wards list on the website before making an application.
To apply, organisations need to complete an eligibility survey to determine whether the applicant organisation/group meets the criteria to apply for funding from the Coalfields Regeneration Trust (CRT).
The closing date for submitting the eligibility survey will be the 7th September 2018.
The deadline for submitting applications is the 14th September 2018.
