St Helens-based Crest Environmental has been bought by a Harlow-headquartered counterpart.
Founded in 1999, the company undertakes asbestos remediation, contaminated land clearance, waste packaging and disposal, surveying, industrial cleaning, plant dismantling and re-instatement works to both the private and public sectors.
It has been snapped up by AA Woods Holdings, the parent company of AA Woods. With the addition of Crest Environmental, the group is expected to turnover in the region of £15m during the coming year.
The acquired company will continue to operate as a standalone business with its existing management team.
Crest Environmental was advised by partner Brian McCann and corporate finance executive James Curtis of MC Vanguard.
Curtis said: “Both Crest Environmental and AA Woods are well regarded in the asbestos contracting market, and will undoubtedly continue to grow across the North West and beyond after the transaction. We wish both parties all the best for the future.”
The shareholders of Crest Environmental were advised by Quinn Barrow. AA Woods was advised by law firm Mullis & Peake.
