Hays Travel North West has opened its latest branch in St Helens, Merseyside, taking its network to 30 stores.
Six new jobs have been created at the Church Street travel agency following a £100,000 investment.
Miniple Just Go became Hays North West when the UK’s largest independent agency Hays Travel took a 40% stake in 2015.
In December, managing director Don Bircham set out plans to reach 50 stores by 2020.
Hays Travel, including Hays North West, now has more than 160 shops nationwide and recently hit the £1 billion turnover milestone. Hays North West has an annual turnover of £70 million.
St Helens manager Gemma Bate said “It’s been absolutely brilliant. People have been coming in and telling us how pleased they are that we have opened up and to see such a nice, clean, modern store opening in the town. We have already been really busy with booking holidays for people which has given us the best possible starting boost.
“We were very grateful to welcome the Mayor and Mayoress and our local MP to come and celebrate our official opening. It was lovely to have their support and they were also so positive about us opening in the town.
“I am born and bred here so it has been a really special store opening for me and I am proud to be the manager here.”
Bate moved to manage the store having worked at St Helens’ Co-operative Travel, now branded as Thomas Cook, for 10 years.
She added: “We can offer holidays from a huge range of different providers and tour operators and work with customers to find the perfect holiday which fits their budget.
“It’s also a really welcoming store for people to visit because it has been refurbished to such a high standard and I think we all appreciate seeing this sort of investment in our communities.”
The Mayor of St Helens, Councillor Patricia Ireland attended the opening, alongside local MP Marie Rimmer.
