Motorists travelling in and out of St Helens are advised to plan their journeys ahead to avoid being caught up in potential delays as traffic signal upgrade works are carried out at the A58 Linkway West / Canal Street junction.
Temporary three way traffic signals and temporary pedestrian crossing facilities are currently in operation at the junction – while Canal Street is closed to motorists wishing to exit the junction, with a diversion route in place.
Work – which started yesterday (Sunday 15 July) – is expected to be complete on Friday 20 July, with the new traffic signals fully operational, and Canal Street fully open.
