Fingerpost Community Group has been shortlisted in a competition run by Arriva to win a free day out this summer in Blackpool.
About Fingerpost Community Group
Fingerpost Community Group is the only community group in the area. Run solely by volunteers for local residents and businesses of Fingerpost, the group receives no funding and relies on donations made by volunteers in order to keep the service alive. With almost a thousand members and endless numbers of residents and friends,the group is a lifeline to a community in such a deprived area.
Why does Fingerpost deserve to win a summer day out?
The team works so hard every week to provide a vital service to the whole community of Fingerpost. Whether it’s sharing survival packs for the elderly in winter, taking part in the community watch to protect the neighbourhood, or providing help to young families with children. The team really does look to spread their help as far and wide as they can.
The prize, sure to be a day to remember, includes return travel on an Arriva Bus and attraction entry, thanks to Merlin Entertainments.
