Vote for Victoria Park

Park goers are being encouraged to vote for their favourite Green Flag park in a bid to be named among the top ten in the country.

We reckon Victoira Park is up there with the best of them, and all you need to do is vote.

Green Flags are awarded each year by the environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy, to recognise and reward the best parks and green spaces across the country.

Now, the Award Scheme is asking the nation to have its say and decide which parks and green spaces should receive the People’s Choice Award for being the UK’s favourites.

All you have to do is head over to the Victoria Park entry on the Green Flag Award website here and click the voting button. Once you’ve registered your vote, why not encourage others to get involved too through social media using the hashtag #PeoplesChoice.

Voting is open now and closes on 30th September and the top 10 sites will be announced on 16th October.

Paul Todd, Green Flag Award Manager added: “This year 1,883 parks and green spaces met the tough standards demanded by our Green Flag Award Judges but we want to know which parks the UK public love the most.

“The People’s Choice award is a chance to show how much your favourite park means to you. If it’s worth shouting about, make your voice heard and vote now.”

  1. Victoria Park is a beautiful park to visit. I have visited this park for 50 years. There used to be bands playing and mini golf, Sunday afternoons were great. I love taking my grandchildren, but have become very alarmed at the drug dealing going on.

The park does need some cleaning up though, with this I am referring to the regular drug dealing. Young men on pushbikes are seen regularly dealing drugs around the park. We need more civy policing particularly around the children’s area and city road/bishop road end.
