Miller Homes, leading North West homebuilder based in Newton-Le-Willows, has raised £13,500 at their annual Masquerade Ball in aid of charities Habitat for Humanity and Cornerstone.
As the housebuilder continues to bring high quality homes to the North West, the regional team have focused their recent charity efforts on ensuring more than just their own customers have a safe place to shelter.
Habitat for Humanity works with established partners in more than 70 countries across the world to offer simple, sustainable solutions by working with the poorest and most vulnerable people to provide the support needed to help them lift themselves out of poverty by building homes, communities and restoring independence.
Cornerstone is a Manchester-based homeless day centre providing shelter and help for disadvantaged adults facing a wide range of social issues, from a warm meal and quality clothing to healthcare access and educational activities.
Hosted on 7th September at the prestigious Titanic Hotel in Liverpool, Miller Homes welcomed over 400 employees, sub-contractors, suppliers, land contacts and professional advisers to an evening brimming with entertainment – with a three course dinner complimented with dancers, magicians and charity auctions alongside speeches and videos highlighting how the funds will be used to help society’s most vulnerable. The evening raised a total of £13,500 which will be split evenly between the two charities.
Ian Smith, Managing Director for Miller Homes in the North West, comments: “A wonderful evening was had by all at our annual charity ball. I’m incredibly proud – our team members and business partners outshone themselves in generosity throughout the night, and we’re delighted to be able to support such worthy causes helping those in the North West and around the world have a safe place to live both temporarily and permanently.”
Miller Homes has a number of high-quality homes for sale across the North West with a range of incentives to get every house hunter moving to their perfect home, from Help to Buy to Part Exchange.
