Salon supports hospice in style

It was a glitzy and glamourous affair as a local hairdressing salon celebrated its tenth anniversary with ‘a bit of a do’, raising over £1164 for Willowbrook Hospice.

Owned by 38 year old twins Louise Hilton and Stacy Bilous, Estilo Hair Design, based on Dalehead Place, Moss Bank first opened its’ doors in October 2008 and over the years has built up a large client base, many of whom attended the charity event on 5 October at Blackbrook Rugby Club.

Louise said: “We wanted to support Willowbrook Hospice as many of our clients have had friends or family members who’ve been cared for there. The hospice is also very close to our hearts as they recently looked after my mother-in-law during the final weeks of her life. Everyone says how wonderful the hospice is in caring and supporting their patients and their families but it’s only when you experience their services first hand that you realise how important it is that Willowbrook is able to continue with their care. We were thrilled that over 170 of our clients were able to come along to our anniversary party and made up with the amount of money we raised.”

Nichola Saunders, Head of Fundraising at the hospice said, ”£1164 is a fantastic amount to raise and on behalf of Willowbrook Hospice I’d like wish the team at Estilo a very happy anniversary as well as thanking them and all their clients for their generosity in supporting the hospice in such an amazing way .”
