Northern Rail is taking on train conductors in Liverpool – and the jobs come with one major staff perk.
The rail company is hiring full-time conductors to work across the network, with vacancies being advertised in Liverpool.
Among the benefits advertised as part of the job description is free travel for employees and their families.

The role is “customer focused” and successful candidates will be expected to keep customers informed throughout their journey – “even when things may not be running smoothly.”
With services operating seven days a week across a range of different hours, applicants need to be willing to take on early morning and late night shifts.
Applicants are required to be “flexible” with regard to shift patterns, with an average 35-hour working week.
