M&Y Maintenance and Construction has been awarded the new Investors in People Gold and Health and Wellbeing standard.
Staff from across the St Helens based firm filled in surveys and took part in interviews with assessors as part of a rigorous assessment to grade the organisations commitment to its employees.
The firm’s work to improve employee’s health and wellbeing was also recognised and awarded. The organisation recently announced its partnership with mental health charity, Chasing the Stigma, which will see all staff across the business attend a mental health awareness course.
M&Y Maintenance and Construction will retain the grading, which demonstrates a commitment to values, personnel development and social responsibility, for the next three years.
Gill Kelly, Managing Director of M&Y Maintenance and Construction, said: “We are delighted to be awarded Investors in People Gold.
“We believe that our people make the difference and are integral to our success as an organisation.
“The assessors were very complimentary about our management style in their report. They also commented on the loyalty and togetherness throughout the team, from operatives to directors.
“We will continue to work hard and ensure that we invest in our people, helping them reach their personal goals, develop their skills and maintain a happy work/life balance.”
